Cookie Policy

Every cookie this site serves, what it does, and how to say no — the complete ingredient list.

Effective 1 March 2025 Australian law applies

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device to remember state — things like 'this banner was already dismissed' or 'this visitor has been here before'. They can't read your files, watch your screen, or teach your other programs bad habits. This policy lists every cookie we set so you can decide which ones earn their place.

2. Cookies we use

Our cookie jar is deliberately small. The full inventory:

  • cookies-accepted — remembers your consent choice, set by the banner, stored locally
  • Session preferences — theme and form-helper state for smoother visits
  • Analytics cookies — anonymous usage statistics through our analytics provider
  • Security tokens — short-lived tokens that keep forms and sessions honest

3. Essential cookies

Essential cookies make the site function — consent state, session security and form integrity. These can't be declined because the site literally can't work without them; the banner doesn't pretend otherwise. They contain no personal profiles and expire quickly.

4. Analytics cookies

Analytics cookies tell us which pages get read and which get bounced — anonymous, aggregated, and genuinely useful for writing better field manuals. They're non-essential: declining the banner stops them entirely. What we measure:

  • Page views and reading time on guides — so we know which bosses need more coverage
  • Referral sources — how commanders find the Arena
  • Device and browser classes — so the responsive design keeps working everywhere

5. Your choices

The consent banner on your first visit sets a single cookie recording accept or decline — declining blocks every non-essential cookie. To change your mind later, clear your browser's site data for otttdarena.com and the banner returns on next visit.

6. Browser controls

Every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies entirely — Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge all expose per-site controls in settings. Blocking essential cookies breaks the consent banner memory and form tokens, so we recommend per-category choices rather than a blanket ban.

7. Third-party cookies

Embeds (like the map on the contacts page) may set cookies from their own providers under their own policies. We don't control those; the banner's decline state signals your preference but third-party embeds behave per their own consent handling.

8. Updates to this list

When we add or retire a cookie this page updates with the new effective date. No cookie gets added silently — if it's on the site, it's on this list. Questions to [email protected].
